The Prez Sayz....

Boogie Bash 2009 was a success due to the venue and the community of Rock Creek, as well as the Grand Forks RCMP. Our gratitude goes out to all. From all that I had personally talked to during the weekend, I heard nothing but good reports and were all very impressed with the venue and the facilities available. We are currently in the process of negotiating the terms for next year.

As the August long weekend in Rock Creek is notorious for being HOT, I will be recommending some changes in the itinerary for next year in an effort to work around the hottest part of the day. That way more time can be devoted to cooling down in the river. As this past Boogie Bash was at a new venue for us, we made notes during the weekend as to what worked and what didn’t. Some "behind the scene" changes will also be discussed in an effort to have the event run more smoothly from the management side of things.

If any of you who attended have any suggestions please contact us as soon as possible so that we can compile the suggestions, discuss them and if viable, see how they can be implemented into the planning for next year. Of course, we cannot forget the unfailing devotion of our volunteers who worked tirelessly for us. A lot of them worked more than one shift, worked long shifts, and still came back to assist. A lot of our volunteers were a "no show" which created quite a few problems for management, however, as always the "show goes on".

AND wasn’t the music superb!!

Keep your eyes posted to our website for updates regarding next year. Pass the word around and get your buddies from near and far to attend. See you next year.
